Black Affirmative Research Report
In 2017, BLMTOFreedomSchool received funding from the City of Toronto to conduct research about Black Affirmative Educational Principals for Black Black Children (4-10) using a community collaborative model.  This research will include: research findings; equity-informed discipline guidelines; a how to’ on using Freedom School developed Black affirmative education resources; and guidelines for respectful engagement for non-Black educators.  This report will capture community knowledge in the interest of building the capacity of educators supporting Black child development.  In April, 2017 BLMTO launched this research with a community design session at Ryerson University.  It is our goal to provide this resource free to download on by July 2019.
